• OUR STORY

Happy Hoos started as a simple idea that grew into something bigger than we ever expected. During the pandemic, our founder, Cris, was working as a nurse and found journaling as a steady, grounding practice. That simple habit inspired Happy Hoos, a Los Angeles, California based brand created to bring more joy, positivity, and Happy Hoo moments into everyday life.

  • OUR MISSION

Designed to be both aesthetically engaging and fully functional, our vibrant collection of notebooks, journals, stickers and shirts help writers, creators, and dreamers use the power of journaling to cultivate more joy, peace, abundance, and Happy Hoo moments in their lives.

  • HAPPY HOOS MOVEMENT

Through the Happy Hoos movement, our vision is to cultivate a community of kindred spirits who uplift and inspire one another. Together, we celebrate achievements, foster personal growth, and create a world where the spirit of Happy Hoos thrives, spreading contagious positivity and joy to all those we encounter.

FOUNDER’S STORY: A JOURNEY INWARD

During the pandemic, I was working as a nurse while still balancing family life, and I found myself craving a little more clarity and calm in my everyday. It also became harder to see the good. Days started to blend together, and it was easy to focus only on what felt heavy or uncertain.

That’s when I made meditative journaling a hait, a simple practice that blends writing with mindfulness.

Writing quickly became my quiet space. A place where I could slow down, sort through my thoughts, and actually notice what was still going right, even in small ways. Putting pen to paper helped me reflect, reset, and hold onto moments of gratitude that I might have otherwise missed.

Over time, journaling helped me build a more positive mindset, practice gratitude, and find more joy in the little moments.

That’s also why our team loves creating notebooks, stickers and shirts for every season. Each season feels different, and I believe our pages can reflect that too. Winter invites comfort and reflection. Spring brings fresh starts. Summer feels bright and bold. Fall is grounding and cozy. When your stationery matches the season you’re in, it becomes even easier to stay inspired and keep showing up.

In Happy Hoos we hope to share tools that encourage personal growth, nurture gratitude, and help you celebrate progress, one small win at a time. Hoooo! (but happy)
